Job Summary
We are seeking outstanding individuals to join our Board as a Non-Executive Director and Associate Non-Executive Directors. Non-Executive Directors bring an independent perspective, support and challenge to help shape the future of the Trust into the next stage in its evolution. We have an ambition to increase diversity at Board level and would welcome applications from individuals from under-represented groups. As a Director, you will work alongside the Chair, other Non-Executive Directors and Executive Directors of the Foundation Trust. You will share responsibility with the other Board directors for the success of the organisation.

Job responsibilities
Your role will be to use your skills and your personal experience to:
* contribute to the development of the Trusts strategy and business planningprocesses;
* play your part in ensuring the Trusts compliance with its regulatoryframework;
* helpensurethattheBoardsetschallenginggoalsandobjectivesforhealthservicesandformeetingtargetsfor
* treatment;
* monitortheperformanceoftheexecutiveteamindeliveringthecorporateobjectives,includingkeytargetssetboth nationally and locally;
* ensurethattheBoardalwaysactsinthebestinterestsofpatientsandthewiderpublic,andthatfullaccountistakenof advice received from the Council ofGovernors;

Person Specification
Essential
* Experience: High personal credibility, evidenced through experience of operating at a senior level in an organisation with significant budgets and complexity
* A record of high calibre leadership and delivery, in an executive or non-executive capacity
* High-level organisational and governance skills, including strategic planning, risk management, performance management, service commissioning, service delivery and development, quality management, patient/client representation
* Political acumen - ability to grasp relevant issues underpinned by an understanding of how to develop partnerships and build relationships with other organisations
* Evidence of creative thinking and contributing to innovation
