An established UK public sector organisation is undertaking a major digital transformation programme and requires an experienced Interim Seniormercial Manager to lead DDaT relatedmercial activity. You’ll join a mature and evolvingmercial function that plays a critical role in enabling large‑scale technology change across the organisation. This is a hybrid role based in London.
Your new role
As the Interim Seniormercial Manager, you will take full ownership of the end‑to‑endmercial lifecycle for ERP sourcing, supporting a programme of significant strategic importance.
Leading ERP-related procurements from strategy development through to contract award and mobilisation
Deliveringpliant tendering processes under PCR 2015 and the Procurement Act 2023
Managing sourcing activity through CCS frameworks, including Back Office Software 2 (BoS2) and DOS
Running market engagement, pricing evaluation, supplier clarifications, andmercial negotiations
Producing procurement strategies, evaluation models,mercial papers, and assurance documentation
Drafting and refining contractual terms, schedules, and oue‑based service provisions in partnership with Legal
Providingmercial leadership into the digital transformation programme and supportingernance forums
Maintaining strong relationships with senior stakeholders andmunicatingplex or challenging messages clearly
Ensuring robustmercialernance, audit trails, andpliant records throughout the lifecycle
What you'll need to succeed
To excel in this role, you will bring:
Extensive operational experience leading DDaT procurements within the UK public sector
Strong knowledge of CCS frameworks, particularly Back Office Software 2 and related digital frameworks
Proven experience procuring Systems Integrators and ERP implementation services
Deep understanding of PCR 2015 and the Procurement Act 2023
Ability to delivermercial strategies acrossplex and sensitive stakeholder environments
Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills
Experience supporting major Digital or ERP transformation programmes (desirable)
MCIPS Level 5 or equivalent experience (desirable)
Eligibility for CTC clearance, or willingness to undergo checks
