Motion Designer - 6-Month FTC (January Start) Location: London, UK (Hybrid) Salary: £45,000-£50,000 per annum About the Role We're seeking a talented Motion Designer to join a multidisciplinary creative team on a 6-month fixed-term contract starting in January. The role supports a range of government-related projects, producing high-quality motion graphics and animated content across digital, social, experiential, and campaign environments. This is a fast-paced and sensitive environment, requiring strong judgement, accuracy, and attention to detail. What You'll Do Create high-quality motion graphics, animations, and visual assets across multiple formats Develop concepts and visual treatments that bring ideas to life across digital, social, and multimedia outputs Produce both short-form and long-form motion content for campaigns and content series Collaborate with designers, editors, and creative leads to ensure cohesion and consistency Build storyboards, style frames, and motion tests to communicate ideas early in the process Integrate typography, illustration, graphic elements, and sound design into polished final assets Manage multiple deliverables in parallel while meeting deadlines without compromising quality Contribute creative thinking and craft expertise to elevate overall design output About You Proven experience as a Motion Designer with a strong showreel covering a range of formats Exceptional skills in After Effects, with experience using Illustrator and Photoshop Comfortable working across digital, social, campaign, and multimedia environments Strong sense of visual identity, composition, typography, pacing, and storytelling Fluent or professional working proficiency in Romanian (spoken and written) Must hold dual nationality, with one nationality being UK Must have the right to work in the UK Comfortable undergoing a full vetting process Experience working on sensitive or government-related communications is advantageous Proactive, collaborative, and confident in fast-moving workflows Based in London and available for hybrid working Contract Details 6-month fixed-term contract, starting January Hybrid working, London-based Salary: £45,000-£50,000 depending on experience Sphere Digital Recruitment is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
