An independent co-educational boarding school near Tewkesbury is looking to appoint a Music Teacher from September 2025. This full-time, permanent role is ideal for a creative and enthusiastic musician who enjoys both academic and performance teaching. You will join a vibrant music department known for its choirs, orchestra, and annual musicals, and you'll have the freedom to inspire pupils with a wide range of genres and activities.
The role includes classroom teaching across KS3–KS5, supporting exam students, and encouraging musical development through instrumental groups, concerts, and rehearsals.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver academic music lessons from Year 7 to A-Level

Support and direct ensembles, including choirs or instrumental groups
*
Organise termly concerts and house music competitions
*
Prepare students for Music Theory, GCSE, and A-Level exams
*
Encourage performance confidence through regular soloist recitals
Requirements:

Degree in Music or related field; PGCE + QTS
*
Strong musicianship and confidence in ensemble direction
*
Open to ECTs or experienced teachers with a collaborative outlook
