The Data and Insights Division comprises four key areas: 1. Data Governance and Intelligence 2. Data Acquisition, Quality, Strategy and Literacy 3. Data Insights 4. Data Architecture, Platform and Engineering. This division offers an opportunity to design a data strategy aligned with the organization’s goals and to execute data delivery effectively. D&I enables SJP to leverage data for actionable insights and data-led decision making.
The Data Insights Team handles most MI, Analytics, and Data Science used across the business. Our goal is to equip all teams with relevant information to support decision-making at both local and strategic levels.
Reporting to the Head of Insight Engineering, the Senior Data Insights Analyst plays a key role in bridging Insight Engineering, Business Stakeholders, and the Data Analytics Team.
What you’ll be doing:
1. Engaging with stakeholders to understand their objectives from a data and analytics perspective.
2. Leading workshops, conducting interviews, and meetings to gather detailed requirements and clarify analytical challenges.
3. Serving as the primary contact between stakeholders and technical teams during analysis and delivery.
4. Ensuring the quality of Insight definitions and taking ownership of deliverables.
5. Understanding data sufficiently to enable Insight Engineers to develop data transformations.
6. Identifying data gaps or quality issues and communicating these to the relevant teams.
7. Documenting requirements according to best practices and assisting in prioritization based on feasibility and impact.
Who we’re looking for:
We seek a senior data enthusiast who is data-driven, curious, persistent, and focused on delivery. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with statistical analysis and data manipulation tools such as Python, R, or SQL, and proficiency with tools like Snowflake, Tableau, Power BI, or similar. Experience facilitating workshops and gathering detailed requirements is essential.
Essential Criteria
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related STEM field.
* Highly experienced in SQL.
* Proficient in Python and R.
* Experience leading workshops, interviews, and meetings for requirements gathering.
Desirable Criteria
* Experience with Tableau Service and Desktop.
* Experience in data testing environments.
* Creative thinking and storytelling skills with data.
Special Requirements:
* Some business travel may be required.
