What does the role entail?
Teachers will need to deliver high-quality lessons in line with school policies and the national curriculum, covering for planned or unplanned teacher absences. You will manage classrooms effectively, ensuring a positive and engaging learning environment. Working across different Key Stages, you will need to adapt quickly to different subjects, year groups, and teaching styles, from Early Years to Key Stage 2. As a day-to-day supply teacher, you will follow lesson plans provided by the regular classroom teacher and when required have the initiative to create your own. The role will entail daily support of the well-being and progress of all students, maintaining good classroom behaviour and close communication with school staff. It is necessary that you are available for flexible work and on short notice. This can vary from on the morning emergency calls to pre-booked cover i.e. courses/PPA.
What are we looking for?
Teachers would need to have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent and experience teaching across EYFS, KS1, or KS2. The ideal candidate would need a positive, adaptable approach and strong classroom management skills to deliver engaging lessons. Teachers would need an enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
