This role forms part of the frontline of a multi-disciplinary team, working with children and adolescents experiencing a crisis within Hertfordshire. You will provide specialist assessments within the A&E setting, follow‑ups and short‑term interventions for young people aged under 18 suffering from acute and complex emotional, behavioural and psychological crisis.
We are looking for an experienced Mental Health Nurse to join our service. Our clinicians provide crisis telephone line support, triage and assessment as well as face‑to‑face assessments, follow‑ups and brief interventions in the community. Most referrals currently come from the two A&E's in Hertfordshire, although with our new crisis telephone line we are trying to prevent anyone attending A&E if they do not have a physical need to be there. The C‑CATT service operates 24/7, so this role will involve day, evening, night and weekend working.
