The role:
Provide business management and service development support to the Interim Chief Nurse Corporate Nursing and Midwifery, HSCP Chief Nurses, and the wider NMAHP Directorate, including the Care Home Collaborative, as needed. Responsibilities include managing work, delivering projects related to policy development and implementation, coordinating training, and supporting key priorities. As a Senior Management Team member, the post holder will also oversee financial and workforce performance management and staff governance.

Key responsibilities:
Care Delivery
• Support multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, person-centred care for older people in community settings.
• Manage FOI requests, complaints and professional concerns with discretion and sensitivity.
Leadership and Direction
• Support strategic planning, performance delivery and key programmes across the Directorate.
• Act as liaison between senior nursing leadership and internal/external stakeholders.
• Contribute to governance activity, national reviews and consultations.
• Prepare reports and briefings for Board-level and regional forums.
Education and Development
• Support quality improvement through data analysis, reporting and policy implementation.
• Assist with development of guidance and training aligned to national and corporate priorities.
Business Management and Administration
• Maintain systems to monitor performance and support senior leadership activity.
• Provide governance and administrative support to committees and working groups.
Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:
1. Educated to degree level or equivalent professional qualification.
2. Significant experience within the NHS or similar complex organisation
3. Demonstrable project management skill and experience of application across a number of projects.
4. Financial and resource management experience
5. Excellent writing and presentation skills for report writing and presentations
6. Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills
7. Effective problem solving and decision making
8. Ability to demonstrate sound judgement and meet tight deadlines
9. Previous experience of developing and implementing administrative systems is essential.
10. Flexible, approachable, hardworking, motivated and confident.
11. Proficiency in a range of Microsoft Packages
12. Proven ability to work under pressure.
