Science Teaching Assistant – Secondary Schools
Location: Melton Mowbray and Leicester area available
Competitive daily starting from £95 per day | Full-time & part-time opportunities available
New Directions are looking for enthusiastic Science Teaching Assistants to support secondary schools across the area.
This role would suit someone with a Science background, previous classroom experience, or an aspiring teacher looking to gain hands-on experience within secondary education.
Your role may include:
• Supporting students during Science lessons and practical activities
• Working with pupils on a 1:1 or small group basis
• Encouraging engagement and confidence within the classroom
• Helping maintain a positive and focused learning environment
• Supporting students with additional learning needs where required
We are looking for individuals who:
• Have a good understanding of Science subjects
• Are confident supporting secondary-aged pupils
• Are proactive, reliable and approachable
• Have previous experience working with young people or within schools (desirable)
