Department of Physics, Clarendon Laboratory, Parks Road, Oxford The post holder will be the head of a significant research group, and a recognised authority in their field. They will lead the group, with responsibility for the development of its strategic direction. They will take primary responsibility for a programme of independent externally funded research projects. The post will be held in association with Reuben College. The successful candidate will be appointed to a Fellowship by Special Election at Reuben College, and will be a member of the Governing Body of the College. The post holder reports to the Head of Department and acts as a team leader, setting clear task objectives, developing productive working relations and line-managing the other members of the team. The post holder contributes to their development through induction, appraisal, and coaching. The successful candidate will have an outstanding research record in the broad area of Quantum Physics and will be expected to engage in research projects and mentorship of graduate students, to lead independent research project, and to lead on the teaching and administration of the MSc in Quantum Technology as MSc course director.
