Your new role
As an Assistant Management Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the Financial Management Team to produce accurate, timely, and insightful management accounting information. You will assist with planning, budgeting, monitoring, and reporting processes, ensuring robust financialernance andpliance with Standing Financial Instructions.Key responsibilities include:
1. Preparing and checking monthly financial monitoring reports, including contracts.
2. Assisting with budget maintenance, month-end close, reconciliations, and forecasting.
3. Providing financial advice and support to directorates and budget managers.
4. Analysing variances and resolving queries, includingplex transactional details.
5. Supporting annual budget production and year-end audit preparation.
6. Managing recharge invoices and assisting with training for budget managers.
What you'll need to succeed
7. Educated to degree level in a relevant subject or equivalent experience.
8. Previous experience in a busy finance or management accounts team within a large organisation.
9. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
10. Proficiency in Excel and other MS Office applications.
11. Ability to managepeting priorities and work to tight deadlines.
12. Excellentmunication skills to explain financial information to non-finance colleagues.
