Job Summary
The Community Staff Nurse is responsible for the delivery of prescribed nursing care to patients on a day-to-day basis. This includes holistic assessment of patient care needs, as well as the development, implementation, and evaluation of evidence-based care.
The post holder will be autonomous in their clinical practice, acknowledging their limitations and actively seeking advice as necessary. We support two newly qualified Nurses with a named mentor, PTHB preceptorship program, and a supportive team.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for motivated, enthusiastic individuals to join the Llandrindod Wells District Nursing Team. We welcome new registrants and experienced staff who share our values and want to consolidate new skills within a supportive preceptorship program. The role requires caring, sympathetic individuals with excellent communication skills and a commitment to high standards of patient care. Roles are available on a full and part-time basis.
Applicants will be supported by the clinical lead, with a personalized development plan based on experience and transferable skills. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable; English and Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

* Desirable: Community nursing modules, District Nursing Diploma/Certificate, Nurse prescriber qualification

* Essential: Wide clinical skills, ICT skills, community nursing experience
* Desirable: Palliative care, wound management, catheterisation, venepuncture, ECG, IV therapy, resuscitation, and other advanced skills; experience in managing caseloads; Welsh language skills
