Bryn Coch Club
Bryn Coch Club a registered CIO #1196346 (Wales) is a happy and successful club located within the grounds of the hugely popular Ysgol Bryn Coch and is looking to recruit a Deputy Person in Charge for our breakfast and afterschool club, term time only.
Start Date 5th January 2026 Hourly rate £13.22 per hour
Hours per week, minimum 22, Monday to Friday
Times 7.30 am – 9 am - 2.45pm – 6pm
We require an individual who will create a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for our children and ensure high quality care.
The role will include:
Appropriate care and supervision of children in our care.
Strong leadership skills
Support Person in Charge in role
Taking sole charge of both setting and staff
Providing opportunities for play
Ensuring health and safety needs of each individual child are met.
Where appropriate administer first aid.
Ensuring that each child’s wellbeing is met and they thrive in a safe environment
Engaging the children in suitable age-appropriate play activities
Person Specification:
Recognised playworker qualification minimum Level 3 Playworker
Previous experience of working with children 3 – 11 years
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Flexible and able to adapt to changing demands
Able to work constructively as part of a small team
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle information sensitively
Enhanced DBS check
All staff are expected to:
Undertake training as required
Support and contribute to the club’s responsibility for safeguarding students
Maintain high professional standards of attendance, punctuality, appearance and conduct
