Salary £35-50k Per Annum - Depending on Experience Position summary The Internal Sales Account Manager role is the operational heartbeat of our Sales function. The role is to support the external sales team, managing appointments, raising quotes and proposals and liaising with existing clients to assist the team in hitting its targets. Will suit a Personal Assistant who has worked with exec teams wanting to move into an internal sales position as much as somebody who already has that experience as an ISAM. Key working relationships Enterprise & Commercial Account Managers & Directors Vendor Account Managers (Microsoft, HPE, Cisco, etc.) Procurement & Logistics Service Delivery / Project Management Office Finance & Credit Control Senior Management Team (for pipeline reporting) Core duties Sales support Draft and issue accurate quotations within agreed SLAs Register deals with vendors, secure special pricing and track approvals Provide shipment updates and Proof of Delivery (POD) to clients Maintain and refine a Preferred Suppliers Matrix to optimise cost and lead-times Data & reporting Own CRM data quality—opportunity stages, values and close dates Produce a concise weekly forecast pack for the Senior Management Team Monitor quote-to-order conversion and highlight bottlenecks Process improvement Review end-to-end sales-admin workflows; document SOPs and drive automation where feasible Liaise with Finance to streamline order-to-cash hand-offs Required Experience Minimum 3 years working in an inside-sales, sales-admin or sales-operations experience within an MSP, VAR or IT reseller Proven Record of Managing relationships with IT Distributors and Partners. Knowledge of raising deal registrations with Partners and gaining best commercials. Hands-on with CRM and quoting platforms Sound knowledge of vendor deal-registration processes and incentive programmes Strong Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Must be located and have the necessary paperwork to work within the UK Desirable Vendor sales accreditations (e.g. Microsoft, Cisco) Prior PA assistance to Senior Exec Teams Personal attributes Highly organised “traffic controller” mindset, comfortable juggling competing deadlines Pro-active and ‘Can do’ attitude towards all tasks.
