Your role

Assess client needs and update support plans, signposting to education, training and employment opportunities
:
Support clients with managing finances and welfare benefits
:
Encourage social inclusion and help clients build confidence, resilience and self:esteem
:
Work with agencies on behalf of clients, promoting choice and acting as an advocate when needed
:
Promote safe working practices by completing risk assessments within legislative guidelines
(This role is sometimes also referred to as Support Worker, Support Assistant, or Independent Living Assistant).
Your skills

Experience supporting people affected by domestic abuse or working in supported living
:
Knowledge of housing management, including voids and arrears
:
Understanding of occupancy agreements
:
Ability to stay calm under pressure and work on your own initiative
:
Empathetic and non:judgmental with strong interpersonal skills
:
NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, or willingness to work towards
:
Proficient technology/IT skills (Microsoft Office and similar)
