My client is a well-established principal contractor with over 20 years’ experience, specialising in cladding remediation and façade regeneration. They deliver high-quality, compliant, multi-million-pound refurbishment and replacement projects across London and the wider South East.
Role Overview
The Project Manager will take full responsibility for the successful delivery of designated contracts, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget and to the required quality and compliance standards.
This role involves leading and motivating site-based teams and subcontractors, while working closely with Commercial, Health & Safety, Design, Finance, Procurement and Estimating departments to ensure effective project execution.
Key Responsibilities

Develop, manage and monitor detailed project plans and associated budgets in collaboration with Commercial, Design & Quality and Health & Safety teams.

Provide line management to Site Managers, Assistant Site Managers and other project staff within your remit.
*
Oversee project delivery to agreed productivity targets, deadlines and financial parameters.
*
Support, mentor and develop team members to drive performance and accountability.
*
Monitor team performance through structured objectives and action plans.
*
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, funders and third parties, attending both scheduled and ad hoc meetings, including resident consultation forums where required.

Take full ownership of all operational and management aspects of projects under your control.
*
Understand the project scope in detail to support procurement, resource allocation and delivery strategy.
*
Oversee the development and implementation of programme schedules, supporting site teams in delivering their elements of the works.
*
Coordinate labour and materials across multiple site teams to maximise efficiency and cost control.
*
Liaise with procurement teams to ensure timely ordering and sequencing of materials.
*
Maintain full oversight of project documentation, ensuring records are accurate, compliant and up to date.
*
Ensure agreed quality standards and contractual requirements are clearly communicated and adhered to by site teams and subcontractors.

Work closely with the Quantity Surveyor and Commercial team to manage subcontractor packages, orders, budgets and cost control.

Collaborate with the Health & Safety department to ensure full implementation of the Construction Phase Plan, RAMS and COSHH documentation.
*
Work with ISO and Design & Quality teams to ensure consistent compliance and high standards of service delivery.
*
Take overall responsibility for QCQA records across the project.
*
Work with Resident Liaison and Customer Service teams to resolve resident concerns professionally and efficiently.
*
Ensure contractor and subcontractor issues are escalated and resolved appropriately.
*
Chair and attend site and management meetings on a weekly, fortnightly and monthly basis as required.

Remain up to date with current construction legislation, H&S requirements and industry best practice.
Skills & Qualifications
HNC (or equivalent qualification/experience) in a construction-related discipline.
Valid CSCS card.
SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme).
Asbestos Awareness, Scaffold Inspection and First Aid certifications.
Strong experience within EWI and cladding projects (essential).
Proven programme and project management capability, including production and management of GANTT charts and critical path analysis.
Ability to interpret financial data and monitor project performance.
DBS clearance (where required for specific projects).
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Competent in Microsoft Word, MS Project and Outlook
