We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Paramedic to join our emergency medical services team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care, with experience in critical care transport and a comprehensive understanding of anatomy and medical procedures. As a Paramedic, you will be responsible for providing high-quality emergency medical care to patients in various settings, including those requiring transport to a Level II Trauma Center.
Responsibilities
* Provide advanced life support and emergency medical care to patients in pre-hospital settings.
* Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine the nature and extent of injuries or illnesses.
* Administer medications and injections as prescribed, ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques.
* Perform venipuncture for blood draws and intravenous access.
* Operate emergency vehicles safely while responding to calls for assistance.
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals during critical care transport.
* Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of care provided.
* Ensure all medical equipment and supplies are properly stocked and maintained.
* Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices in emergency medicine.
Requirements
* Valid Paramedic certification and state licensure.
* Experience administering injections and performing venipuncture.
* Strong knowledge of anatomy, patient assessment techniques, and critical care protocols.
* Familiarity with durable medical equipment (DME) used in patient transport.
* Ability to drive emergency vehicles under various conditions while maintaining safety protocols.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
* Previous experience in a Level II Trauma Center is preferred but not required.
