RIS PACS Deputy/Senior Radiographer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for band 6 PACS Deputy (Senior Radiographer) to join our small dedicated friendly PACS team.
We are looking for a well‑motivated and flexible radiographer who will be based at King's Mill Hospital in Sutton‑in‑Ashfield, who is looking to gain skills within the Picture Archiving and Communication System team but also to keep a clinical commitment.
The Radiology Department is fully digital throughout, with mobile digital units; there are also 3 CT scanners with a third at Newark Hospital. We currently have 1 static MRI, with a building project to increase to 3 in 2026. Our CDC has recently opened providing out‑patient imaging in MRI, CT and Ultrasound. This post will rotate within the main radiology Department with the opportunity (depending on skill and experience) to rotate through other modalities.
Approximately 50% of the role will be working within the PACS team. The service is committed to the continued education of our radiographers and CPD is actively supported.
The successful applicant must:
* Have current HCPC registration
* Holds Radiography degree or DCRR
* Experience of NHS IT and PACS systems.

Person Specification
Knowledge
* Specialist expertise, underpinned by theory and practical experience acquired through diploma/degree.
* Knowledge of NHS patient care IT systems, especially within Radiology.
* PC literate‑expertise in Microsoft Office software.
* Good understanding of current NHS ICT and related strategy and policy, particularly in relation to ‘Connecting for Health’.
Qualifications
* DCR or BSc (Hons Radiography)
* Evidence of further study.
Further Training
* Previous experience of RIS/PACS systems and knowledge of current policies, legislation affecting radiology departments.
Experience
* Significant experience at band 5, including evidence of competencies.
* Experience of staff teaching/training.
Contractual Requirements
* To work at other x‑ray departments within the Trust.
* Participation in the on‑call rota including Christmas and Bank holiday rota.
