Key Responsibilities
1. Assisting with and managing your own caseload of housing litigation matters under supervision
2. Handling possession proceedings (including Section 8 and Section 21 claims)
3. Supporting on landlord and tenant disputes, including rent arrears and breach of tenancy
4. Drafting legal documents including witness statements, pleadings, and correspondence
5. Preparing court bundles and liaising with courts, clients, and third parties
6. Conducting legal research and assisting with case strategy
7. Maintaining accurate case records and ensuring compliance with internal procedures
Requirements:
8. Minimum 12 months’ experience in a litigation role, ideally with some file handling exposure
9. Previous experience in housing litigation or landlord & tenant matters is highly desirable
10. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
11. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
12. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
13. A proactive and commercially aware approach
