Job Description:
My client is looking to strengthen their sales team with the key appointment of a Sales Professional to be responsible for the company’s residential businesses, calling on flooring retail showrooms and smaller contractors across West Yorkshire.
Key duties will include:
1. Developing relationships with customers and understanding their business needs.
2. Account management and new business development.
3. Understanding the company’s products, willing to learn and evolve with the role.
4. Fulfilling administrative tasks such as monthly reports, CRM updates, and expenses in a timely fashion.
5. Meeting financial, product, administrative, and behavioral targets.
6. Able to take initiative & solve problems.
7. Identifying opportunities for the company’s portfolio of products.
About the Company:
A respected market leader within the Floorcoverings sector, who has experienced rapid growth over the last 10 years, is looking to expand their sales force with the key recruitment of an additional sales professional.
Key Skills/Experience Required:
The ideal candidate will have a driving license and be someone who is looking for a long-term career with a respected market leader. Experience in the Floorcoverings or a related sector (Building Products, Commercial Interiors, or DIY) would be advantageous but not essential. Alternatively, you may be working in a retail store like Tapi or Carpetright and are looking for a career in field sales.
Ideally, you will have the following skills:
1. Collaborative in approach – a team player.
2. End goal focused and persistent, with the ability to work towards longer-term objectives.
3. Strong verbal ability – able to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels.
4. Organised, self-motivated, numerate, and analytical.
5. Able to work autonomously and in a team environment.
