Insurance Claims Administrator

About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Insurance Claims Administrator to join our Fleet team. Reporting to the Motor Insurance Team Leader, you will play a key role in managing motor and public liability insurance claims across a fleet of approximately 3,000 vehicles.
This is a fast-paced and varied role where you will be responsible for handling the full lifecycle of claims, from initial notification through to resolution, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and excellent service delivery at all times.
Key ResponsibilitiesClaims Processing
* Manage the full claims process following First Notification of Loss (FNOL), including investigation, assessment, and documentation
* Liaise with insurers, brokers, third-party administrators, repairers, and legal teams to progress claims efficiently
* Review damage reports and hire documentation to support accurate claim evaluation
* Handle incidents involving company and client vehicles, including own damage and third-party claims
* Support uninsured loss recovery with the company’s approved provider
* Ensure all claims are thoroughly investigated and documented in line with legal requirements
Compliance & Communication
* Adhere to company policies and legal/regulatory requirements
* Maintain clear communication with internal teams, including Fleet and Operations
* Stay up to date with insurance regulations and industry best practices
Reporting & Analysis
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within the claims management system
* Assist in preparing reports on claims performance, costs, and trends
* Contribute to fleet risk management and safety initiatives using claims data insights
About You
We are looking for someone who is organised, analytical, and able to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment.
Experience & Skills
* Previous experience in motor insurance claims handling or a similar role (fleet or transport experience desirable)
* Strong understanding of motor insurance claims processes and terminology
* Knowledge of insurance regulations, legal compliance, and data protection standards
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
* Strong IT skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and claims management systems
* Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
* Ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple claims simultaneously
* Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset
* Full UK driving licence (desirable)
