Hybrid working - 2 days in the office/3 days at home. About EVH EVH – Supporting Social Employers (EVH) is an Employers Federation founded in 1978 and governed by a dedicated voluntary board. We provide bespoke HR, Recruitment and Events services to our members, through our dedicated team. Initially rooted in social housing organisations, EVH has since expanded its support to not-for-profit organisations across Scotland. Today we support governing bodies and managers in more than 135 employer members, who employ over 5000 staff between them. You will join our HR Support Team who aim to make policy, terms & conditions and employment law easy to understand for our members. We provide a personalised, confidential and solution-based approach, taking account of best practice, legislation and the potential risk involved. Your new role As part of the HR Support Team you will provide a comprehensive and reliable support function to EVH member organisations seeking advice and support on a wide range of employment and people matters. The role will have a varied workload and will include: Advice You will provide first line HR advice, responding to queries through our HR Mailbox or by telephone all aspects of employee relations and HR enquiries from senior managers and managers. Resource Development You will be responsible for ensuring comprehensive and practical resources are available to members and are regularly reviewed to ensure compliance in accordance with legislation. Communications You will be responsible for providing regular HR communication to members regarding areas of interest through newsletters, news articles and social media postings. HR Consultancy Services You will provide a variety of consultancy services to member organisations such as desktop job evaluation, review of terms and conditions, minute taking, policy review, contract review, staff surveys or any other identified projects as required. What you will need to succeed A relevant higher education qualification, relevant professional qualification and/or a track record of continuous professional development. Experience of providing advice/support to managers in line with employment legislation and best practice. Practical HR knowledge and skills with the ability to apply these to a variety of different situations. Experience of working with Microsoft 365 packages. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to be able to present engaging information in various formats. We pride ourselves in looking after our people and ensure we provide excellent benefits for our team. Remuneration & Benefits Salary - £34,745 - £37,984 per annum (EVH Grade 6). Pension – Employer contribution 8%, employee minimum contribution 2%. By joining our pension scheme, you also gain a three times salary life cover at no cost to you. Training Allowance - £600 per year for training of your choice in relation to your role and to cover your professional fees. Mobile phone provided. Generous family friendly leave. Work life Balance Hybrid working - 2 days in the office, 3 days at home. Flexible start and finish times - depending on business needs, hours can be worked between the hours of 7.30am - 8.30pm. You are expected to spend at least 40% of your working time in the office each week. Staff also have the option to spend 100% of their working time in the office each week if preferred.
