An exciting opportunity is available to join our service in the South West as a Fostering Engagement Social Worker, to help develop our Fostering Service in the region in recruiting and assessing new Foster Carers.
The role involves travelling within the following areas to raise awareness and hold recruitment events to recruit new Foster Carers: North Somerset, Bristol, South Gloucestershire, Gloucestershire, Swindon, Forest of Dean.
The post holder will require creativity, flexibility, and the ability to travel within the service area to plan and deliver recruitment events to expand our Foster Carer capacity and provide high‑quality foster placements for children.
You will work with and be supervised by the local Fostering Service Manager, who will support you in growing our service footprint across the region.
You will have experience working within a fostering environment, either with an Independent Foster Agency or a Local Authority, and a proven track record of completing Initial Home Visits and Form F assessments within agreed timescales and presenting these at panel (Qualified Social Worker).
There are no caseload responsibilities in this role.
You will need to demonstrate a flexible, creative, and dynamic approach to researching and facilitating a range of recruitment opportunities.

The role is primarily to arrange and host recruitment events across the region and requires a high level of engagement with the public to raise awareness of fostering with a leading independent fostering agency. A dynamic and confident personality is essential, as is the ability to process information and encourage interested people to apply to become a foster carer.
