Monarch Education, part of Affinity Workforce, is recruiting a compassionate and motivated Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a specialist school in Telford. Key Responsibilities:
* Support the class teacher and wider team in delivering engaging lessons and activities
* Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEND
* Assist with behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies
* Encourage independence, communication, and confidence in pupils
* Help with classroom organisation and preparation of learning materials
* Monitor and record pupil progress to support ongoing assessment
What We're Looking For:
* A caring, patient, and proactive approach to working with children
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Experience supporting children or adults with additional needs (ASC, ADHD, SEMH) is desirable
* Knowledge of Makaton, sign language, or alternative communication methods is a plus, but not essential
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
