We are seeking an HGV Technician to join our Client’s a Commercial Main Dealer in the Portsmouth area.
Our client is a family run, multi-site commercial garage with over 30 years of experience. Due to Expansion within the Service department seeking a Workshop Supervisor for their site following an added workload at the location and the expansion of the company.
They are well known for providing services across Portsmouth, Havant & Waterlooville, Hampshire and beyond! This is a hands on, exciting, busy and challenging role, requiring enthusiasm passion an energy for the ongoing success of the business.
This role would suit individuals with an experience within either HGV Mechanics or Commercial Vehicle Technicians preferably within a Commercial Vehicle Dealership setting, however non-franchised dealer, HGV Fleet companies and HGV Technicians from Independent Commercial Vehicle backgrounds are considered.

Our client is offering the successful HGV Technician:
6. A Basic Salary of up to £51,340

10. 5 – Day Week Available: Monday to Friday, 9:00 PM to 6:30 AM
11. Continuous Manufacturer Training
12. 22 days Holiday, increasing with time served.
13. Overtime rate at time and a half
Duties of an HGV Technician with our Client
14. Carrying out vehicle repairs in accordance with manufacturer's procedures within standard times set.
15. Breakdown/roadside assistance and call out dutyVehicle inspection
16. General servicing
17. Fault diagnosis
18. Repair of vehicle defects
19. Road test vehicles
20. MOT preparation/presentation.
21. Breakdown/roadside assistance and call out duty required.
22. Completion of all required paperwork accurately
What our client expects of their HGV Technician
23. Be a qualified HGV Technician (City & Guilds / NVQ Level Three or equivalent).
24. Strong Organisational Skills
25. Experienced working on HGVs previously or an in-depth technical knowledge of Commercial Vehicles
26. Ability to use own initiative
27. Ability to work to instruction
28. Full UK Driving Licence – HGV licence is beneficial.
29. The ability to work efficiently as an individual but also as part of a small team.
30. Right to work within the UK.
