Job Title: Accounts Assistant
Location: Exeter
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join an established accountancy practice. As an Accounts Assistant, you will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, including processing invoices and payments, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial reports. You will also work closely with the Accounts Manager to provide support with month-end close and other accounting projects.
Responsibilities
* Process invoices and payments
* Reconcile accounts
* Prepare financial reports
* Assist with month-end close and other accounting projects
* Respond to customer inquiries and resolve billing issues
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
* Perform other accounting tasks as assigned
Qualifications
* 1+ years of experience in an accountancy practice
* Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
* Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero)
* Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
* Excellent organisational and time management skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
