The Role Komplex Health is seeking an experienced confident Clinical Nurse Educator to support the continued growth of our service. This role plays a key part in ensuring that care teams delivering high-dependency care in the community are equipped with the clinical knowledge, skills and confidence needed to provide safe, effective and person-centred care. Working directly within patients homes and community settings, you will deliver clinical training, mentor care staff and support competency development across complex care packages. The role combines practical clinical education with governance, care planning support and quality improvement. This is not solely a classroom-based training position. Instead, the role focuses on real-world clinical practice, supporting staff through hands-on coaching, mentorship and competency development in the environments where care is delivered. You will work closely with families, support workers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure care is safe, responsive and aligned with best practice while promoting independence, dignity and quality of life. Key Responsibilities Clinical Education and Workforce Development Deliver high-quality, evidence-based clinical training and competency assessments to nurses, healthcare assistants and support workers. Provide structured teaching sessions alongside practical, hands-on coaching within service users’ homes. Support care teams delivering complex and high dependency care packages to develop competence and clinical confidence. Visit complex care packages to observe practice and support safe clinical delivery. Provide mentorship, clinical guidance and supervision to healthcare teams delivering community-based care. Support the development, drafting, implementation and review of clinical care plans, protocols and risk assessments. Work collaboratively with clinical leads, operations managers and multidisciplinary teams to maintain safe service delivery. Ensure training and clinical practice align with NICE guidance, CQC standards and NMC professional frameworks. Support incident reviews, safeguarding processes and quality improvement initiatives. Maintain accurate records of training delivery, competency assessments and workforce development. Contribute to ongoing clinical governance, learning and service improvement across Komplex Health. Deliver training across key areas including: Medication management and administration Infection prevention and control (IPC) Clinical risk recognition and escalation Catheter care and bladder management Stoma care Wound care and pressure ulcer prevention PEG feeding and nutritional support High dependency clinical care Tracheostomy care and ventilated care where required Clinical Practice Support About You - Essential Registered Nurse (Adult, Mental Health or Learning Disability) with active NMC registration. Strong experience supporting complex care, continuing healthcare or high dependency care packages. Experience mentoring, supervising or developing healthcare staff. Experience developing or reviewing clinical care plans, documentation and risk assessments. Strong communication, coaching and facilitation skills. Excellent written English and computer literacy skills, with confidence using digital systems to record training, competencies and clinical documentation. Confidence supporting teams within community or domiciliary care environments. Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel. Clinical experience in areas including: Medication management Infection prevention and control Catheter care Stoma care Wound care and pressure ulcer prevention PEG feeding and nutritional support High dependency or complex clinical care Desirable Teaching qualification (Level 3 Award in Education and Training or equivalent). Experience working within Personal Health Budget (PHB) services. Experience supporting Continuing Healthcare (CHC) services or community complex care. Background in ICU, respiratory care, neuro rehabilitation, community nursing or specialist homecare services. Experience supporting clinical governance, audit processes or workforce development programmes.
