Overview
Join to apply for the Veterinary Surgeon role at Vets for Pets.
We are a growing standalone practice that has a low staff turnover in a stunning coastal location and we are always looking for local veterinary talent.
As a growing practice we are always interested in hearing from local talent interested in working with us, because everyone is at different stages in their veterinary career, we are open to speak to anyone. So, if you are an experienced vet looking for somewhere they can mentor and lead a team or someone looking for support for a certificate and to specialise their practice please do get in touch.

At Lytham we run 15-minute appointments, operations are finished by 1.30pm and we have protected lunch breaks. To provide the very best care to our patients we have dental X-ray and stage all of our dentals. This is supported by the nurses who scale, probe and polish, allowing you time to follow up other cases or take a break. Currently we are building our orthopaedic caseload offering TPLOs and cruciate repairs. If you have a specific interest you would like to pursue, we would love to support and encourage it.
About us
The practice is jointly owned by one of our vets Dan and our head veterinary nurse Michelle NCert in anaesthesia. They are supported by a fantastic team of two Vets, 3 RVNs, and 2 SVNs, plus a supportive front of house team who ensure that the vets can concentrate on their cases. Our nurses in practice love to get fully involved and help ease the pressure on the vets, so they undertake as much Schedule 3 as possible. We are looking for a vet who would also be interested in coaching new grad vets and nurses, as we are passionate about growing the future of veterinary talent. We have low staff turnover and many of our colleagues have worked in the practice for over 7 years! Our surgery is located on St Andrews Road North in Lytham, the heart of St Annes on Sea on the Fylde Coast, just a few miles south of Blackpool. This is the ideal location for someone who enjoys the coast and outdoors for their days off but is also under an hour and a half from both Manchester and Liverpool City Centres if you are more of a city explorer in your free time. The Lytham practice is a standalone practice, which offers a spacious work environment with its 3 consult rooms and a separate x-ray room. The practice is also ideally located for people who need to use public transport being located opposite the train station!
