We are now seeking aRooms Division Manager to join our growing team at Dorsett Canary Wharf.
As the Rooms Division Manager, you will be responsible for upholding our brand and vision while acting as an expert and guide for both guests and associates. The successful candidate will be flexible and adaptable, able to assume a variety of roles and responsibilities, and demonstrate excellent leadership and communication skills, both verbal and written.This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Rooms Division Manager with strong Front Office and Housekeeping expertise to lead a dynamic team. Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Check on a daily basis the arrivals, departures and VIP special needs report and communicate to General Manager, Dept HODs and any other relevant personnel.
Check on a daily basis all M&E bookings and requirements and communicate to General Manager, Dept HODs and any other relevant personnel.
Develop, Implement and evaluate policies and procedure standards with the Rooms, M&E and Housekeeping ensuring optimum guest satisfaction, sales maximization and profitability on an ongoing basis.
Monitor present and future trends, practices and systems in the hotel industry and innovate and ensure execution of competitive programmes as directed.
Participate in conducting weekly inspections of all areas and ensure facilities are kept in optimal condition and work with the Maintenance Engineer in full implementation of preventative maintenance programmes.
Consider guest experience and satisfaction in everything you and the team do to deliver an outstanding experience, take your time to understand, engage and recognise our guests.
Work with the General Manager on strategies to ensure revenue related targets are met.
Drive additional revenue for the business by implementing and evaluating various schemes including upselling, cross-selling and continuously achieve set targets;
Work and ensure a seamless collaboration between the departments with all other areas of the business
To conduct regular departmental communications meetings and ensure that all departmental briefings and meetings are effective and conducted as necessary.
Execute any reasonable instruction from the General Manager.
Training and Development
Maintain high morale and productivity of the team as well as good cooperation and communication between the departments;
Constantly train and develop the teams on the job, be responsible for induction and training plan for all new Front Office starters, share your expertise and experience incorporating brand vision
Identify associates through succession planning with potential for promotion and/or transfer and make the appropriate recommendations.
Foster and develop effective associate relations throughout the Hotel.
Establish and maintain effective internal communications including weekly meetings in order to ensure optimum teamwork and prod
