Essential Skills Tutor \n Location: Hybrid \n Salary: £24,720 - £27,800\n\nAbout the role: \n Brook Street are seeking an experienced Essential Skills Tutor to train and assess learner knowledge and competence against criteria defined by the relevant awarding body in respect of Essential Skills Wales in Literacy, Numeracy and Digital Literacy. You will be responsible for arranging, conducting and oversee controlled tasks with learners undertaking their Essential Skills Qualification.\n\nBENEFITS TO YOU:\n\n30 days annual leave\nTravel Expenses and business milage\nContributory Pension Scheme\nAnnual Bonus*\nLife Assurance\nHybrid Working\nProfessional Development:\nSupportive Team\nLength of service employment scheme\nEmployee of the Month Awards\nDiscount on Gym Memberships\nSocial and Charity Events\nRefer a friend payment scheme\n Key Responsibilities:\n\nResponsible for providing literacy, numeracy and digital literacy support within workshops or one to one setting with learners to ensuring timely achievement of Essential Skills qualifications and skills development, improving on skills in all areas and achieving the full Framework requirements as well as meeting their full potential for skills attainment.\nResponsible for registering, arranging, conducting and invigilating controlled tasks with learners undertaking their Essential Skills Qualification in line with award body requirements.\nResponsible for carrying out all organisational and administrative work, preparation and marking associated with teaching and assessment responsibilities including attending standardization events.\nAccountable for supporting and fully engaging learners and employers in the qualification and skills development.\nResponsible for maintaining quality standards as defined by internal and external quality assurers.\nResponsible for maintaining accurate, up to date records of all assessment activities.\nAccountable for ensuring positive outcomes are evidenced.\nMonitor and ensure the timely completion and accuracy of all learner documentation required to reflect a true and accurate record of the learning route and progress.\nDeliver training programs to assigned learners/clients ensuring the highest possible standards are achieved.\nCovering a regional area, travelling to visit learners in the workplace to undertake assessments.\nResponsible for contributing to the planning, monitoring and achievement of agreed performance targets.\nDevelop learning materials to support the delivery requirements.\nLiaise with other team members in the development and delivery of qualifications.\nMaintain good working relationships with learners and employers.\n Requirements: \n\nFull driving licence with use of own vehicle\nExperience of delivering Essential Skills Qualifications \nExperience of Work Based Learning and Award Body practices\nTAQA Qualification or equivalent qualification\n\nApply today or call Hannah on (phone number removed)
