Success is driven by bold and inspired people, with a focus on diversity, collaboration and inclusion. This position is based in the Aberdeen Office and reports to the HSE Assurance & Integration Manager.


Responsibilities

Audit and Assurance

* Supports and contributes to design and oversight of the Company HSEA audit and assurance programme, working with Technical Authorities to ensure risk areas are identified and subject to effective audits at a representative frequency, including internal and external audits, contractor/third/party audits, and status across LOD audits, site/office-based assurance audits, desktop reviews and remote auditing methods for high risk projects (e.g., complex HSEA activities, high value contracts, reputational risk).
* Supports and contributes to ensuring all audit and assurance activities are actively monitored and visible throughout the Company, in collaboration with Supply chain, Wells, Technical Authorities, and Operations, and reviewing status versus annual plan, action tracking/trending and action management.
* Supports and contributes to ensuring HSEA audit and assurance activities are prepared, facilitated, executed and closed-out, with actions logged and evidence available.
* Supports developing and implementing an effective audit and assurance methodology to enable root cause tracking, align with incident investigation, enhance data sets and target corrective actions.
* If required, conducts incident investigations, root cause analysis, incident reviews and learning sessions, and provides timely follow-up reports and lessons learned in line with the LRP plan.
* Supports asset visits in line with the annual schedule (audits, visits and regulatory support), providing safety leadership and coaching as needed.

Business Management System

* Ensures new legislation is identified in a timely manner and plans for compliance are established, tracked and implemented within the Business Management System.
* Ensures the HSEA Management System is structured, accurate, user-friendly and aligned with continual improvement.
* Ensures processes and governing documents are available, valid, and demonstrate compliance with current legislation and Company requirements.
* Supports continued certification of the Business Management System to recognised standards where pursued (e.g., ISO 14001/45001/50001).
* Ensures key documentation, policies, standards and procedures are categorised and rolled out with tracking per documented protocols.
* Provides information regarding accessibility, purpose and use of the HSEA Management System through training and awareness modules.

HSEA Integration Activities

* Contributes to development, implementation and update of the HSEA Integration and Must Win Plans to identify, align and integrate appropriate systems and processes for operational success.
* Ensures integration tools/systems/processes are fit for purpose and implemented in line with change management requirements.
* Works with operational sites and other functions to deliver alignment and coordination of activities.
* Updates procedures and documentation, and implements effective training and competency arrangements as part of HSEA integration.
* Develops, maintains and communicates a detailed HSEA integration plan with clear objectives and timelines.

Training & Communications

* Contributes to designing and delivering training programmes to improve HSEA Assurance and Integration performance.
* Contributes to the HSEA Communication Plan, supporting safety moments, procedure updates, intranet updates, and related content.
* Contributes to developing and delivering quarterly audit and assurance reports for the Company, highlighting key themes and future focus.

Qualifications & Experience

* Bachelor’s degree in science/engineering or equivalent with additional professional qualifications/certifications in HSEA or hydrocarbon processing related subjects.
* Advanced knowledge of HSEA Management Systems, Incident and HSEA Data Management Systems, and auditing techniques.
* Previous experience in HSEA management across operational activities, certified management systems, mergers and acquisitions, and integration activities including senior-level interfacing.
* supervisory/management skills with mentoring experience.
* Valid BOSIET/FOET.
* Passion and commitment for HSEA performance excellence; strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to present effectively; strong analytical and proactive problem-solving abilities.
* Willingness to travel, including regular offshore site visits.
