The Role


Working as part of the Stallingborough Planning Team, you will be responsible for work preparation and tool/parts allocation in support of producing Safe, Quality, Low Cost Tonnes (SQLCT) by area.

Primary Responsibilities:


• Prioritise work requests from production in agreement with “gate keeper” from Production
• Allocate time, tools, services (incl. labour), equipment and parts to a work request order
• Create work packages for a work request order or grouped work requests orders
• Issue work packages to production for scheduling
• Collect the post execution feedback for review and improvement
• Monitor and report overdue maintenance and inspection work
• Participate in maintenance strategy improvement activities
• Participate in initiatives to improve standard maintenance tasks and procedures
• Update the Maintenance budget plan for their specific area

• Responsible for the area backlog along with scheduler/coordinator
• Create PR's maintenance parts, materials and services for optimum business value – addition.
• Input into procurement strategy and make recommendations
• Direct contract resources

About You


You will be motivated, talented, self-starter with the knowledge and experience to work closely with Trade Teams, Engineers, Procurement, Stores and the Operations Teams. Strong communication skills are essential.

You will ideally have the following qualifications, knowledge and experience:


• Experience in mechanical maintenance with the ability to amend Maintenance Instructions for approval.
• High safety awareness.
• Planning software experience, MS Project, Primavera, MS Office, Lotus Notes and SAP PM/Prometheus.
• Mechanical Engineering Qualification, minimum City & Guilds, and Preferred HNC/HND.
• Rotating equipment overhaul experience pumps, fans, compressors.
• Pipe fabrication & welding experience.
• Desire to develop personally and pursue a career in this field.
• A methodical and structured approach to problem solving.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Good literacy and communication skills.
• Knowledge of work planning, scheduling and purchasing.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects and deadlines.
