Dispensing Optician -

About the Role:
As a qualified Dispensing Optician, you'll use your technical skills and product knowledge to recommend the best lens and frame options for each individual's visual and lifestyle needs. You'll take accurate measurements, ensure high-quality fittings, and manage complex prescriptions or adjustments with confidence. Order jobs via online ordering systems and check the jobs on return. You'll also be on hand to support patients with queries or concerns, help the team resolve any dispensing-related issues, and contribute to the upkeep and organisation of the practice. Most importantly, you'll be someone who takes pride in great service and who shows professionalism, care and expertise to every patient.
We dispense a number of young children due to our links with orthoptic departments, provide sports eyewear for children and adults, some low vision aids and as a Lindberg approved supplier specialise in rimless frames and glazing. We try to keep continuity throughout our dispensing journey, so your patients are yours from handover to collection. You would be working with a small team of 8, but daily will have an OA and a receptionist. We run 2 test rooms so single or double clinics daily with a single Saturday morning clinic.
Lunchtime is paid as we remain open but no testing between 1.00pm-2.00pm, staff have 30 minutes personal time each.

Specific Information:
* You must be registered with the GOC or appropriate governing body in order to apply for this role.
* Experience in dispensing, ideally 5 years.
* Ideally Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 9.30am-5.30pm, Saturday pm. But flexible for the right candidate hours per week.
* Salary range depending on experience FTE £27,500- £30,000
