We are currently recruiting an Assistant Manager tojoin our team at Hafan y Waun Residential Care Home in Aberystwyth.
About the role
No two days are the same in this varied and rewarding role. As a general guide, your day-to-day duties may include:
* ensuring that service delivery remains fully compliant with the Regulation and Inspection of Social Care (Wales) Act 2016 and associated regulations
* be the responsible officer in the absence of the Registered manager
* administering prescribed medication including controlled drugs to service user’s and assist in the management of an effective system for the safe control and administration of medication in accordance with regional and internal policy and procedure when needed
* ensuring documentation is completed at a high standard on a daily basis
* assist with competency checks and ensuring all training is up to date
* providing emotional support and reassurance to clients, particularly when they need to adjust to change/and or family crisis
