SEN Teacher - Specialist Learning Hubs
Location: Mansfield Local Authority (Regional Sites) Salary Range: £32,916 - £45,352 per annum (M1 - M6 scale) Contract: Permanent, Full-Time, Term Time Only (40 hours per week)
Impact Beyond the Classroom
Are you an educator who believes that a standard classroom isn't the only place where learning happens? We are seeking a versatile and empathetic SEN Teacher to join our dedicated team.
In this role, you will support young people (ages 7-19) who have faced significant barriers to mainstream education. By focusing on small-group work and 1-to-1 sessions, you will deliver a curriculum that is as unique as the students themselves - ranging from core academic subjects to exciting vocational pathways like Digital Media, Catering, and Land-Based Studies.
How You Will Help Students Thrive
* Tailored Learning: You will adapt and deliver engaging lessons across various regional hubs, ensuring the curriculum meets the specific sensory and cognitive needs of each learner.
* Advocacy & Support: Beyond teaching, you will act as a champion for your students, building the trust required for them to overcome anxiety and academic hurdles.
* Holistic Tracking: You'll work alongside Learning Managers and families to document progress, contribute to EHCP reviews, and ensure every milestone is celebrated.
* A Safe Space: You will maintain a nurturing, inclusive environment where safeguarding is the top priority and every student feels seen.
The Candidate Profile
We are looking for a teacher who prioritises "connection before curriculum". You should be a solution-focused practitioner who thrives in flexible environments.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
* SEN Fluency: Experience adapting teaching strategies for learners with diverse needs, particularly those with anxiety or social-emotional challenges.
* Communication: The ability to build strong, collaborative relationships with families, colleagues, and external agencies.
* Resourcefulness: A creative approach to visual and structured teaching strategies.
* Mobility: As you will support different local learning environments, a full driving licence and access to a vehicle (with business insurance) are mandatory.
Why Join Our Team?
We offer more than just a teaching post; we offer a community. You will be part of a forward-thinking organisation that treats every student's journey as a personalised mission. Here, you will have the freedom to be creative and the professional support to grow through targeted CPD.
