Overview
We are seeking a skilled IT Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting our IT infrastructure, ensuring that all systems run smoothly and efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of various programming languages and development frameworks, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with other team members to support our software and application development needs.
Responsibilities
* Provide technical support for hardware and software issues across the organisation.
* Assist in the development, testing, and deployment of applications using languages such as Java, C#, Python, and Ruby on Rails.
* Maintain and manage version control systems like Git and SVN to ensure code integrity.
* Collaborate with developers on front-end development projects, utilising skills in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to databases using SQL, MySQL, and REST APIs.
* Implement cloud solutions using AWS or Azure to enhance system performance and reliability.
* Conduct regular maintenance checks on systems running Linux and Windows environments.
* Document processes, procedures, and technical specifications for future reference.
Skills
* Proficiency in programming languages including JavaScript, Java, C#, Python, Ruby on Rails, C++, and .NET.
* Strong understanding of software development principles and application development methodologies.
* Experience with database management systems such as SQL and MySQL.
* Familiarity with version control tools like GitHub and SVN.
* Knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure is advantageous.
* Ability to develop APIs and integrate various software applications effectively.
* Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
