Overview
As a SEN Primary Teacher, you will deliver a creative and flexible curriculum with a strong therapeutic and trauma-informed approach. You will plan, assess, and deliver all subjects, with a focus on practical, engaging learning that supports each pupil's personal and academic development.
Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality, individualised teaching to pupils with autism and associated needs
* Adapt lesson planning to meet a wide range of learning abilities and EHCP requirements
* Set high expectations to inspire, motivate and challenge pupils
* Promote positive progress and outcomes in both academic and social development
* Work collaboratively with therapists, support staff, and families to achieve the best outcomes
* Safeguard and promote the welfare of all pupils
* Work in line with professional standards, statutory guidance, and school policies
* Take on agreed responsibilities to support school development and improvement
* Contribute to the school's daily operations and wider learning community
What We’re Looking For / Qualifications
* Qualified (QTS/QTLS) and ideally experienced in SEN or SEMH settings
* Skilled in adapting teaching for pupils with autism and complex needs
* Committed to promoting wellbeing, safety, and inclusion in every aspect of school life
* Flexible, resilient, and ready to help shape a brand-new learning environment
* Passionate about therapeutic, pupil-centred education
About the School / Organization
Our New Options Autism School - Bradford Beacon School is proposed to open September 2025 and will cater for 37 pupils aged 4 - 11 years with a variety of complex needs including ASC.
For over 16 years Options Autism has provided care and education to pupils, young people and adults with autism, complex needs and learning difficulties. We are a leading provider of education for neurodivergent young people and young adults.
