Job Description:
The School of ESOL is looking for an enthusiastic and suitably qualified ESOL tutor to join our high-performing teaching team in Luton.
Our ESOL provision includes college and community-based courses, during the day and evenings, from pre-entry to Level 1 qualifications. This role would suit someone with an understanding of both adult and 16–18-year-old learners and the ability to deliver innovative learning opportunities across all levels. Experience of teaching Essential Digital Skills and/or Functional Skills Maths as well as ESOL would be advantageous.
We welcome applications from experienced and newly qualified teachers who can demonstrate enthusiasm and a desire to work with learners. Further Education or community teaching experience and a formal teaching qualification are desirable, although we are also interested in candidates willing to obtain their teacher training qualifications.
This is a part-time role working 22.5 hours per week, based in Luton. You must be available to teach 2 evenings, Tuesday and Wednesday until 9 pm. Teaching will be spread over 4 days.
You will have the full support of a dynamic team and opportunities to bring your ideas to the role. Training and development are central to our ethos, and you will be actively encouraged to upskill.
We offer a range of benefits including a free on-site gym, discounts, cycle-to-work scheme, free on-site parking, pension, generous holiday scheme, Christmas time off, and early finishes on Fridays.
