Location: Deephams Thames Water based (Enfield) but with travel

A fantastic opportunity for an Operability and Step Testing Specialist to join our team in our North London depot (Thames). As part of the contract partnership between Thames & Hydrosave, you’ll carry out network activities to ensure the DMA is operable and meters are recording correctly prior to Leakage Reduction Technicians working in the area. You’ll also carry out Step Testing activities to identify or narrow down potential Leakage, UFW or NRW. Your responsibilities will include conducting field activities, data collection, analysis, and reporting across the North London region, including Central North and Eastern North DMA’s.

What’s The Role
1. Carry out field activities to verify DMA integrity, including Boundary Valve Proving.
2. Perform District Meter Flow Tests, DMA Isolations, and boundary proving to validate consumption data.
3. Create LCA’s to identify and manage leakage or NRW within DMA.
4. Conduct Step Testing to narrow down leakage and UFW/NRW.
5. Accurately capture data, maintain records, and complete timesheets, including night activities.
6. Validate DMA integrity through field activities.
7. Identify sources of Unaccounted-for Water in DMAs.
8. Collate results and report findings to the organizational structure.
What You’ll Need
1. Water network knowledge, Valve Ops accreditation, and understanding of UFW/NRW sources.
2. Experience in detecting mains and customer side leakage, with flow and pressure logging equipment.
3. Knowledge of health and safety policies, PPE maintenance.
4. Client management, customer satisfaction, and communication skills.
5. Proven data analysis, recording, reporting skills, and familiarity with BOPs.
6. Team motivation and experience deploying domestic and commercial loggers.
