SEN Teaching Assistant - SEMH School (Dover)
We are currently recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEMH school in Dover, supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and can build strong, trusting relationships with students who may display challenging behaviour.
The Role: SEN Teaching Assistant
* Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEMH needs
* Build positive, consistent relationships to support behaviour and engagement
* Assist in managing and de-escalating challenging situations
* Support students' emotional wellbeing, confidence, and social development
* Work closely with teachers and pastoral teams to deliver tailored support
What We're Looking For: SEN Teaching Assistant
* Experience working with children or young people with challenging behaviour (school, youth work, care, sports coaching, etc.)
* A calm, patient, and resilient approach under pressure
* Strong behaviour management and communication skills
* A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable young people
* Ability to act as a positive role model
