Responsibilities
* Support the preparation of technical reports, calculations, drawings, and specifications for airfield engineering projects in the UK and overseas.
* Identify and manage design risks, issues, and Request for Information (RFIs).
* Ensure all deliverables and milestones meet cost, quality, and time targets.
* Champion excellent health and safety practice, including safety in design, site visits, and CDM compliance.
* Assist Project Managers with project progress monitoring and the development of project controls such as change management, information management, and document control.
* Respond to client directions professionally, maintain relationships with clients, peers, and stakeholders that influence future business.
Qualifications
* A university degree in civil engineering, construction, design or a related discipline.
* Experience delivering civil engineering projects – aviation‑specific work is not required; experience on highways, urban realm, maritime ports, etc. is acceptable.
* Preferable knowledge of international airfield design standards such as ICAO, CAA, EASA, and FAA.
* Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant engineering design software.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
* Team‑oriented, collaborative, and able to demonstrate how teamwork solved complex problems.
* Ability to work under pressure, prioritise, and plan effectively, with examples of successful handling.
