We are seeking a dedicated Industrial Cleaner to support Ardagh Glass Knottingley in maintaining a clean and safe factory and plant environment. Based primarily in the Batch Furness Basement, the role involves ensuring high standards of cleanliness across all designated areas. Flexibility is essential, as you may be required to work in other parts of the site as directed by the General Services Manager, contributing to the smooth and efficient operation of the facility.
What you'll do:
* Maintain cleanliness across factory areas, including stairs, floors, and plant equipment, ensuring dust and debris are regularly removed.
* Handle spillages promptly, sweeping and mopping with cleaning detergents or degreasers as required.
* Support outdoor cleaning tasks such as litter and leaf removal, pressure washing, gritting, and keeping car parks and grounds tidy.
* Assist with refuse collection and cleaning, and provide cover for team members in other factory areas when needed.
* Follow Health & Safety and COSHH guidelines, attend regular training sessions, and carry out duties as directed by the General Services Manager.
What you'll bring:
* Awareness of Health & Safety and COSHH regulations when using cleaning chemicals.
* Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
* Reliable, flexible, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
* Good attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleaning standards.
* Experience in industrial cleaning or similar environments is desirable but not essential.
