Private practice law firm in Jersey is looking to recruit a Private Client & Family Office lawyer of 4 or more years’ PQE. You will advise on a complete range of private wealth structures from formation and through the full lifecycle of those structures. Clients include trustees, fiduciaries, family offices, settlors, beneficiaries and their advisers. The successful candidate will work as part of the team providing the full range of Private Client services to the teams’ clients. As well as undertaking more orthodox Private Client work such as estate planning and wills advice (including applications on behalf of clients for grants of probate, Letters of Administration), you will also support the partners, taking principal responsibility (as appropriate) for matters relating to the provision of specialist trust, foundation and, if required, related family office advice. On smaller matters, you will take principal charge of those work assignments, with minimal partner supervision. This role will entail extensive direct client contact as well as being responsible for the supervision of some of the junior members of the team and taking an active role in marketing and business development initiatives. You will be a qualified lawyer admitted in a commonwealth jurisdiction (such as England & Wales, Scotland, Ireland, Canada, Australia, New Zealand or South Africa). It goes without saying that applications from candidates already working offshore are also welcome.
