About the Business Unit
The Energy unit provides services across sectors like hydropower, nuclear, waste, renewable energy, and transmission & distribution. We support projects from conception to decommissioning, aiding the global energy transition.
About the Role
Our expanding Nuclear, Defence, and Civil division seeks Principal and Senior Civil Engineers to work on diverse projects across defence, nuclear, energy, and infrastructure sectors in the UK and Europe. This role offers significant opportunities for professional growth.
Responsibilities
* Lead and contribute to project phases including feasibility, design, construction, and commissioning.
* Collaborate on multidisciplinary projects, developing cost-effective infrastructure solutions.
* Oversee civil engineering design and checks for various projects.
* Prepare technical documentation and specifications.
* Conduct inspections of infrastructure assets for maintenance and life extension.
* Provide strategic technical advice to clients.
* Visit sites and client offices as needed.
* Maintain client relationships and identify future opportunities.
* Manage project schedules and budgets.
* Support project management tasks.
* Mentor junior staff and foster an inclusive team environment.
Requirements
* Chartered Engineer or working towards chartership, with experience in the energy sector or similar industries.
* Experience in regulated environments like nuclear or defence is advantageous but not essential.
* Strong technical skills and a proven track record of delivering quality engineering solutions.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Proactive problem-solving skills and adaptability.
