Senior Project Manager – Transformation Programme (Fixed Term)
About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a strategic site transformation programme The contractor role will oversee the realignment of the site and ways of working and and organisational structure.
The successful candidate will establish and a robust PMO function to drive through the changes, ensuring effective governance, delivery, and stakeholder engagement throughout the programme lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
* Establish and maintain comprehensive PMO governance
* Ensure that project workstreams especially the people and change workstream is fit for purpose and efficient
* Develop and manage detailed project plans, budgets, and resource allocations
* Lead risk and issue management with effective mitigation strategies
* Support consultation processes with trade unions regarding workforce changes
* Provide clear, regular reporting to senior stakeholders
* Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and delivery
* Resolve complex challenges that may impact programme success
* Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements
Experience and Skills
* Proven experience leading PMO functions for large-scale transformation programmes
* Strong background in workforce restructuring and consultation processes
* Must have experience in the manufacturing sector ideally with regulated "hazardous" products
* Strong leadership and problem-solving capabilities
* Deep understanding of project management methodologies and best practices
