Children and Young People's Integrated Therapies (CYPIT) West - Band 6 Paediatric Speech & Language Therapist
Our CYPIT West team has upcoming opportunities for Band 6 Paediatric Speech & Language Therapists. In this role, you will:
* Support children with a broad range of complex needs, such as autism, cerebral palsy, and rare genetic conditions.
* Work across special schools and resource bases in Wokingham, Reading, and West Berkshire, collaborating closely with teaching staff and families to provide child-centred care.
* Be part of a dedicated multidisciplinary team alongside occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and assistants.
Our CYPIT service supports children and young people from birth to 19 across Berkshire, offering integrated therapy services with accessible care and online advice. We are committed to family-centred, joined-up support, and you'll have the opportunity to influence our practices across various settings. Experience working with children with additional needs in specialist or mainstream settings is desirable. * Manage your own caseload of children and young people (aged 4-19) with complex communication needs.
* Deliver assessments, therapy, intervention planning, and training in special schools and resource bases.
* Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including OTs, physiotherapists, and education staff.
* Contribute to EHCP processes and produce clinical documentation and reports.
* Provide training to school staff and families to enhance understanding and support.
* Supervise and guide Band 5 SLTs, assistants, or students.
* Apply the Care Aims approach to ensure effective, outcome-focused interventions.
* Travel regularly to community locations across Wokingham, Reading, and West Berkshire.
