The role
We are seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to support one of the six Directorates within Natural Resources Wales. You will join a collaborative team of five Management Accountants and two Assistant Accountants who work closely with their Directorate Leadership Teams to set budgets, monitor performance, forecast future spend, and report on financial positions. A key part of the role is helping to embed efficiencies, identify risks and opportunities, and support challenging planning and prioritisation decisions. Your work will ensure the Directorate has the resources it needs to deliver its operational plan both now and in future years.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, professional individual who can work at pace, manage competing priorities, and meet tight deadlines. Your contribution will help deliver for the people of Wales and support our ambition to build communities that are more resilient to climate change. If this sounds like you, we encourage you to apply. There is also potential for a second-part time position on our team in the near future as the team continues to grow.
As an organisation we support flexible working. You will be contracted to the nearest NRW office to your home and a suitable hybrid working pattern will be agreed on appointment. Any regular face to face meetings or training will be planned in advance.
