We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and trustworthy individual to take on the critical role of Payroll Administrator. This position is essential to ensuring smooth and accurate payroll processing across the organisation.
Role Summary
Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for managing payroll data, maintaining accurate employee records, and supporting the finance team with reporting and administrative duties. This is a key role that involves liaising with departmental heads, handling sensitive information, and ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
Key Responsibilities
· Collect and compile payroll data from the company's time-logging system.
· Organise and present data in Microsoft Excel for use by the accountant.
· Maintain up-to-date and accurate employee records, both digital and paper-based.
· File and manage documentation related to payroll and HR.
· Produce expenditure reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
· Provide administrative support to the finance team and handle incoming finance-related queries.
· Answer office phones professionally, record messages, and direct queries appropriately.
Essential Criteria
· GCSE (or equivalent) qualifications in Maths and English.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
· Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
· High standard of professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive information.
· Strong organisational skills and ability to compartmentalise tasks.
· Good understanding of GDPR and data protection responsibilities.
· Ability to manage and prioritise workloads effectively.
Desirable Criteria
· Experience using SharePoint.
· Familiarity with Mail Merge functions.
· Previous experience in the care industry or a similar sector.
