Project Manager - End User Compute (Non‑Technical), Tesco IMS

Role Purpose
Tesco IMS is delivering key End User Compute (EUC) workstreams as part of the Day 2 separation programme between Tesco Bank and Barclays. We are seeking a business-facing, non‑technical Project Manager with strong stakeholder management skills to coordinate delivery of EUC initiatives, including new laptop builds, VDI enablement, device rollout, and office IT peripheral replacement.
This role is not hands‑on technical, but requires someone comfortable operating in a technology environment, managing pilots, engaging stakeholders, and ensuring readiness across ~1,800 employees in multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery & Coordination
Lead day‑to‑day delivery of EUC workstreams including new laptop builds, pilots, application readiness, and device rollout.
Coordinate greenfield initiatives (new Intune setup, AD alignment, VDI introduction) with technical SMEs - without doing the technical work.
Plan, track, and drive progress across parallel activities and multiple locations.
Maintain project governance: plans, RAID logs, status reporting, decision logs, dependencies.Business Engagement & Communication
Act as the primary point of contact between EUC, business teams, and operational stakeholders.
Communicate timelines, rollout plans, impacts, and dependencies clearly and confidently.
Ensure business teams are prepared for change, pilots, and rollout phases.
Facilitate workshops, briefings, and readiness sessions with non‑technical stakeholders.Rollout Management & Logistics
Oversee coordination of:
Laptop rollout to ~1,800 employees
Printer and peripheral replacement
DC / office IT space updates
Work with local site leads, facilities, operations, and support teams to manage access, constraints, and scheduling.Risk Management & Governance
Proactively manage risks, issues, and blockers - escalating where needed.
Work closely with technical SMEs to understand impacts without needing technical depth.
Ensure alignment with programme governance, compliance, and regulatory expectations.Required Skills & Experience
Strong experience as a Project Manager in technology or EUC environments (but not hands‑on technical).
Excellent communication skills - clear, concise, confident with business stakeholders.
Solid understanding of EUC concepts (devices, builds, rollout patterns, identity, VDI).
Proven ability to manage multi-site or large‑scale rollout programmes.
Strong governance discipline (planning, RAID, reporting, dependencies).
Experience driving pilots, adoption, readiness, and business change.
Ability to coordinate multiple teams and manage conflicting priorities.Desirable Skills
Experience in large-scale migrations, rollouts, or workplace technology transformation.
Exposure to regulated environments or financial services.
Previous involvement in organisational separation/divestment programmes.
