Senior Technical Swine Specialist – UK & Ireland (Field-Based)
We are partnering with a global leader in genetics to appoint a Senior Technical Swine Specialist to support key customers across the UK & Ireland.
The organisation is a global pioneer in animal genetic improvement, working with some of the world’s most advanced pork producers. The focus is on improving biological performance, efficiency, and financial outcomes across swine production systems.
Role Purpose
The Senior Technical Swine Specialist will provide high-level technical and commercial support to key swine customers, helping them maximise both biological performance and profitability.
This is a field-based role combining on-farm technical expertise with data-driven analysis and close collaboration with producers, integrators, and business owners.
You will work side-by-side with customers to identify performance gaps, develop practical action plans, and support implementation to drive measurable improvement.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver and execute the technical programme across key customer accounts in the UK & Ireland
* Support customers in improving biological performance and financial outcomes
* Analyse production and performance data to identify improvement opportunities
* Develop and implement tailored on-farm technical action plans
* Work closely with commercial and supply chain teams to ensure aligned customer delivery
* Provide structured technical reporting and regular customer updates
* Act as a trusted partner to producers, integrators, and key account stakeholders
* Ensure full compliance with biosecurity and industry standards
* Contribute to continuous improvement of technical services and customer value
Must-Have Requirements
* Minimum 4 years’ experience in intensive swine production systems (essential)
* Strong background in swine production (on-farm or technical support role)
* Proven customer-facing experience (not purely technical or research-focused)
* Experience working with key accounts, producers, or business owners
* Ability to interpret production and financial performance data
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills
* Willingness to travel across UK & Ireland (approx. 50%)
* Based in UK or Ireland
* Fluent English
Preferred Background
* Degree in Veterinary Science, Animal Science, Nutrition, or related field
* Experience in swine genetics, animal health, feed, or production systems
